Recently I have noticed bookended by brothers, my two daughters have quietly been growing in their closeness to each other as well as in their abilities. The little one in her focused attention to the 'homework' her older sister has 'asigned' and the elder in slipping off through the pages of a book.
Summer time reading is luscious, I am so happy to see her discovering this too!

ReplyDeleteThat Tashi book looks delightful! I will have to track that down for Camille. One series that Camille has been enjoying recently is Anna Hibiscus...very sweet books about a family in Africa. I also recently read of State of Wonder and really enjoyed it. One of my most recent reads was "Wild" about a woman's solo hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. Add it to your summer reading list if you haven't read it already. I love summer reading!
ReplyDeleteAs a high school sophomore your first instinct may be not to trust any reccomendations from me, but I strongly reccomend The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, I, also, enjoyed the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer.
