  1. What lovely photos! We take such daily scenes for granted at times.

  5. Thank you Debbie, am sure you will enjoy Malta when you come in March, just be sure to take some time to side step the tourist track.

Angela, I so agree with you, the iron work is really something here, the door knockers, and handles are well worth taking note of while wandering through the old streets.

  6. I too enjoy taking photos of the everyday, because there's often so much beauty to be found within. Your photos are no exception. :)

  7. Robyn,
Thank you, appreciating the small everyday things keeps life fun and endlessly surprising. Vancouver seems like a place filled with hidden treasures.

  8. Oh I love these!!

My grandfather always told me to 'look up' when I visit places. He said the design of a building, the metal work on a gate or the pattern on a door could tell you much more about the place and it's people than the shops on the street. When I do pen and ink work based on a specific area I try and incorporate little design features I come across in everyday life there.

  9. Sounds like you have a wise grandfather. I think I would like your pen and ink work. Can you see them anywhere online?
