A toast to Friday, glad you are back again!

It's blood orange season here (laring ta dem), a welcomed return.  I am still getting used to the intense colour of their juices. Ahh but they do have such a nice particular taste, as probably many of you know. Unfortunately our gang of smalls refuses to give them a try. It has turned warm here, spring almost summer is in the air.

  1. Mmmm, fresh Malta juice. My Maltese girlfriend's mother has a couple of regular orange trees and are always happy to get the oranges used. And I love drinking fresh juice :) Does the blood oranges taste like Kinnie?

  2. Sorry I should clarify that they are in season at the moment in Sicily, thus flooding our little vegetable shops (many of which are vans). I feel a new sorbet may be in order!

  3. we love blood oranges here, especially me. My kids tend to pull faces too but after a story or two about how these oranges are good for your health and all that, they finally drink them. Cheers to the weekend!!

  4. We are so spoiled here in L.A. They seem to be a constant presence. But never fail to surprise and delight. Sorbet...now that's an idea!

  8. Hmmm, we had loads of them during winter days but I guess picking them right from the tree makes them even more tasty!
